Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I cannot find where to modify coloring of tabs.

Specifically in the theme i like, the browser tabs on in-active window show up as "light grey" which doesnt match anything.  Seeing as I almost always have a browser open in the background it really looks poor.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, from what I know, Curtains does not do tabs. That including Browsers tabs.

Thanks

Chrome based browsers use white for inactive window tabs.  This is a design decision made by the developers.

Inactive tabs when the window is active use the accent colour often.  This is adjustable in Curtains.

So then why is it like this.

Btw, both of those screen shots are with the browser window being inactive.  When it is active the "non-active tabs" are also colored...just with the primary Curtain theme color and not "grey".

This is because Google chrome (and MS Edge Chromium) use a custom titlebar by default.  This titlebar has a colour when inactive unlike the rest of the OS.  Their tabs are therefore made to be this colour when inactive.

But in order to make them take on Curtains styles the browser is told to use the OS titlebar.  This uses a white inactive titlebar so they use white for the inactive tabs assuming that this will blend in.

You can tell Curtains not to put Chrome in this mode BUT you will no longer have themed titlebars in Chrome/MS Edge.

But there is a workaround which we will be implementing in a future Curtains build.

In the registry go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

Create a value AccentColorInactive as a DWORD and set this to in your case probably something like 404040 which is a dark grey

This should instantly take effect.  To revert back to default behaviour just delete this value.

Awesome thanks!  Will play with this when I have a little time and see if i can make things happy.

AWESOME Neil (and Jeremy) that worked for me as well!!! (by the way i just left it at its default value- all 0's or black which works on all the dark themes i enjoy!)
